Through coaching, speaking, writing, and teaching, I specialize in helping professional women consciously create work and a life they love. After nine years of working as a successful attorney, I left my career to design a life aligned with who I am and what’s important to me.
I’ve helped dozens of professional women let go of bending to others’ expectations and break through their limiting beliefs so that they can go after their big dreams. Clients have negotiated promotions, identified new careers that fit their gifts and passions, and started their own businesses. My clients tell me that I create a warm, compassionate, and safe place for them to explore their brilliance. I bring tough love too, to help you see what’s holding you back so you can find focus, get clear, and get into action.
As an attorney, I worked for social justice and advocated for women, immigrants, workers, and marginalized groups. I sued corporations like IBM, Oracle, and Ford in class action cases for discrimination and fraud. I was committed to supporting my clients to live healthy, empowered lives.
Ironically, I wasn’t living a life in which I felt empowered and healthy. I’d learned to be successful in a competitive, male dominated industry that values the mind over the heart. I’d become a leader in the social justice community. But I hadn’t developed the tools to listen to my heart, manage my fears, or break through my limiting beliefs. I noticed that other talented, brilliant, and successful professional women I knew were also struggling to have a meaningful impact and find peace in their everyday lives.
My Dad’s sudden passing was a wake-up call to start listening to my heart. I cleared away the noise and distractions and developed a strong inner core. Solo travels, being in nature, yoga, and meditation were all important to that process. I left my law firm job and wandered among meditation retreats, yoga institutes, and ashrams in Asia. (I was an Eat, Pray, Love cliché except that I’d already found love.) I hiked the nearly 200 miles of the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal without a guide or group. And I fasted for 4 days during a 12-day wilderness retreat.
I found my inner voice that guided me to answers, healing, and personal transformation. I realized that I wanted to help others find their inner voice too. I became trained as a professional coach and received my certifications through the Coaches Training Institute and the International Federation of Coaches. I worked with top teachers and trainers in emotional intelligence, finding one’s purpose, and managing fears and limiting beliefs.
I’m passionate about supporting professional women live into their potential by trusting their own voice. I know how hard it is to live on purpose. One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned along the way is that adaptability can be a strength and a liability. Many talented and brilliant women find themselves doing what I did: bending to what others want and sacrificing their own opinions and desires. Noticing how we mold ourselves to others’ expectations helps us reconnect to what truly matters and live a life that’s more authentic.
When I’m not coaching, you can find me trying out new vegetarian recipes in my kitchen in San Francisco or in one of the city’s amazing restaurants. Or you might find me hiking, biking, camping, or some other outdoor adventure with my husband and best friend, Apurva. I love to travel, learn about other cultures, and find connection with others wherever I am.
